The Floresta Viva Environmental Education Institute
The Floresta Viva Environmental Education Institute (IEAFV), established in 2008, is a non-profit organization, not affiliated with political or religious issues, and does not discriminate based on creed, race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation or gender. Our goal is to consolidate by 2034, the participatory and integrated development of spiritualist communities in the Juruá Valley (AC), through investments in the responsible cultivation of the Psychotria Viridis and Banisteriopsis Caapi species, aiming to guarantee the responsible use of Ayahuasca, in addition to promoting food security and strengthening the protagonism of forest people.

We understand that many of humanity’s most pressing challenges, from climate change to poverty, are closely linked to forests and water. Through our work, we contribute to poverty reduction, climate resilience, healthy ecosystems and more prosperous and inclusive societies.
Improving biodiversity governance is fundamental to achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Thanks to our multidisciplinary approach, we can strengthen policies and expand reach through our environmental, cultural, social and spiritual programs and projects. These activities allow us to innovate and develop knowledge and tools applied to biodiversity governance and the preservation of local cultural traditions. IEAFV promotes community activities and supports spiritual meetings related to ayahuasca religious practices, both in the national and international context. The objective is to spread Christian faith and charity to all individuals, without distinction of social and financial condition, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, race, age or political and/or religious beliefs. We demonstrate respect for the spiritual traditions of other communities and cultures, recognizing SANTO DAIME®️ as a divine sacrament with ritualistic use.

Davi Nunes de Paula
Founder of The Floresta Viva Environmental Education Institute
Our institution seeks to expand the competitiveness and sustainability factors of the Amazon in a planned and harmonious manner, considering the potential of its economy and environmental resources, defending sustainable and economically viable means of production, in addition to promoting social, cultural and human development through actions and project management, with a focus on safety, quality and social responsibility. Between 2000 and 2024, the Nova Era community, in collaboration with the local residents’ association, promoted significant community and political initiatives that resulted in relevant achievements in the social, environmental and land areas. Under the leadership of Mr. Davi Nunes de Paula, these actions gained political recognition and admiration from local society, establishing crucial partnerships with federal, state and municipal political bodies and indigenous communities in the region. Based on the results achieved, the initiative to found the Floresta Viva Environmental Education Institute arose, with the aim of expanding socio-environmental activities, income generation projects and food security. The Institute follows principles of community development, in compliance with environmental laws, aiming to conserve the Amazon, promote sustainability and reduce inequalities. Currently, the focus is on the Ayahuasca Daime Eterno Cultural and Environmental Development Project in the Juruá Valley, with the aim of ensuring the sustainable use of Ayahuasca and raising awareness about the preservation of nature through the planting of 100,000 vine seedlings by 2025, with financial support through donations.
